What happened this week? CPI numbers were reported in-line which initially gave a boost to the markets. After further digesting the information the market then said "no thanks" and continued the next leg down just several hours later. How do the current CPI numbers stack up to historical data? Here you go.
I came across another interesting bit on Twitter last week. It's the ratio of Tesla options that are traded relative to the rest of the S&P500 market. What the chart below describes is that essentially starting from 2021 Tesla options "often accounted for over 50% of total option volume in S&P500 stocks". No wonder Tesla is always at the top of the most mentioned stocks on WallStreetBets.
