Stock Trends Right Now
Stocks raged higher in the last two sessions. One might call it a dead-cat bounce, but who wants to be short going into Spooktober and the holiday season?
My favorite season, earnings SZN, is getting kicked off by the banks and will soon be followed by tech. Citigroup (C) and Bank of America (BAC) posted solid numbers this AM. Jim Cramer was on this:
We'll get more into what companies are reporting next week. For now, let's take a look at which stocks are moving and why.
WallStreetBets
SOFI has been the top trending ticker for several days now. Shares have SOARed about 25% in the last two weeks. As a WSB favorite since several months ago this might continue to pick up on hype.
BlackBerry (BB), another one of WSB's favorite tickers. Shares have moved consistently to the upside on good news and headlines of a Google and Qualcomm partnership.
Plug Power (PLUG) incredible last couple of sessions for PLUG as the stock is up 40% in 10 days.
Paysafe (PSFE) is down 35% from the highs, so this 15% jump in stock price is nice to those still holding. Potentially more room to go after a tough summer.
Under-The-Radar
Found a few tickers on the WSB up-and-coming trends page that caught my attention. Keep in mind stocks are risky investments and to do your own due diligence before entering a position. The ones I've highlighted have the following characteristics:
Aren't a part of the usual "top" WSB tickers
Starting to pick up on social chatter
Are trading near short-term lows (minus URA, which has performed well)
Vig Raffle - Update
Thanks for all your entries to this week's Vig raffle. Don't worry, I've received them all and will be drawing the winners tomorrow around 9am EST. I will contact the winners around then.
Vig just released a new "Terminal" feature that offers a hub for all things stocks, options, and crypto in one location. It's pretty slick. Check it out if you haven't yet.
IPO Briefing
There are two IPOs I am keeping an eye out for this week.
Gitlab (GTLB) a Development Operations (DevOps) platform allowing for efficient codebase management.
AvidXchange (AVDX): a software company providing services in invoicing and payments to middle-market businesses.
