Unusual Options Activity w/ VIG
That's right, as an affiliate for VIG, Swaggy will be running another promo/give-away to win 15 free 90-day premium subscription to the VIG platform. You guys have probably seen the unusual options activity segments in the newsletter, which is powered by VIG. The platform offers more than just option flow and now includes their insanely popular Fantasy Stock Games that offer real cash prizes.
Here's a look at the "Stocks Only: Top 100" option flow scan from Friday showing bullish AAPL flow coming in throughout the day.
Moving along, I want to touch on the Fantasy Stock Games that VIG is running.
Fantasy Stocks. Real Money™
To play fantasy stocks you create a paper-portfolio of your best stock picks for the day. If your fantasy stock picks out-perform those of your competitors for the duration of the game you can end up as one of the top 7 players “in-the-money” on the games and win that sweet cash prizes based on where you finish.
It's as simple as that. Still not convinced? Give the free trial a go or download the mobile app and test run the platform before I do the next give-away sometime between Thanksgiving and the Holidays.
Earnings Transcript Sentiment
The feature nobody asked for is finally here. I've taken the proprietary SwaggyStocks sentiment and expanded into earnings call transcripts.
It all starts with being able to see the most bullish and bearish transcripts over the last X amount of days. Keep in mind the sentiment has nothing to do with how the stock price reacted and everything to do with analyzing sentence structure and tone. The sentiment value is a SwaggyStocks proprietary value and doesn't go beyond that.
To make things easy you can also browse by "recent" earnings calls. Transcripts are usually added 1-2 days after the call has taken place. There are literally thousands of companies that report, so to make things easier I added an option to view only a "popular" list of stocks which will get more and more refined over time.
Selecting a ticker will bring up the earnings call sentiment page as well as a list of all earnings transcripts available for that company.
First, is that we've implemented the sentiment on over 10 years worth of transcript data and over 100,000 transcripts in total. You can now search a ticker and go back up to 10 years to view how sentiment has changed with each earnings call. In my opinion, it's not about how bullish or bearish the sentiment is, but the change in value of sentiment as well. A company may have had 3 outstanding quarters in a row, but if their next earnings call is less-than-stellar the market may react to it for the mid-to-long-term. Here's the earnings sentiment vs share price for Intel (INTC).
The second part is we've utilized a machine-learning model to create an AI that highlights key sentences from the earnings call transcript. If you read transcripts frequently you'll know it's about a 15-20 mins read for each. That's a fine amount if you are reading only 1 per day, but what if you want to read transcripts for all the stocks on your watchlist? Nobody has time for that. The emphasis on key-sentences from the Swaggy AI saves you roughly 50% read-time per transcript.
Here's a look at a few highlights from D-Local (DLO)'s earnings call (transcript) two weeks ago. Speakers (management and analysts) are highlighted in blue and the key sentences are colored gold.
Find out not only what management is saying about the company, but also how they are saying it. Are they extremely happy with the results or are they defending the company in areas that need improvement? With Swaggy transcripts analyst questions are also emphasized for the important details so you won't miss a step.
The SwaggyStocks website has A LOT more coming in the next few weeks, so stay tuned.
