A few more names on the list for tomorrow and Thursday. Nvidia's is probably the most notable of them all followed by China stocks on Thursday (that have taken a beating recently).
Wednesday
Target (TGT) - BMO
Baidu (BIDU) - BMO
iQIYI (IQ) - BMO
Nvidia (NVDA) - AMC
Thursday
Alibaba (BABA) - BMO
JD (JD) - BMO
Applied Materials (AMAT) - AMC
Hot Sectors - EVs
Seems like EV's have taken over the most talked about stocks on many fronts. Are they being valued this high simply as a proxy to Tesla? I'll break down the top EV names being discussed on WallStreetBets and around other socials.
Tesla (TSLA): The original OG of EV's. Not much is required to be said of this one as is it's in a class of it's own. Of note, Elon has publicly stated he will be selling shares and dares politicians to make moves forcing him sell more.
Rivian (RIVN): The Rivian IPO was the talk of the town last week. After nearly doubling in 5 trading days the stock is valued at over $140 billion with 0 revenues. I can't remember the last time a company was valued this high without any sales. They do have a beautiful car though!
Lucid (LCID): Lucid is also along for the EV ride, pun intended. The name has been one of the most talked about stocks on WSB for a couple weeks now. Shares are up 15% today and over 100% in the last month.
Gores Guggenheim (GGPI): You have probably never heard of GGPI. It hasn't trended that much on WSB, but the name has been coming up on other social platforms. GGPI is a SPAC that is set to merge with EV company, Polestar. Shares are up 40% in the last 7 days trading in parallel with the EV sympathy play.
